1. At the end of the regular season (home and away tournament with 26 matches) teams were split in 2 groups: top 7 played for the
title and bottom 7 played for the relegation. They carried their regular season records and played an additional round (6
further matches).
2. Points system: in the first half the regular season (13 matches) the usual W:2, D:1, L:0; in the second half of the regular
season (13 matches) and in the groups stage (6 matches): W:4, D:2, L:0.
3. Four teams were promoted, as First Division grew to 16 teams for 1971.
