INFORMACIÓN

La Primera C1 es la cuarta división del fútbol argentino para los clubes directamente afiliados a la AFA. Hasta 1986 fue la tercera categoría, ya que ese año se agregó la Primera "B" Nacional. Participan veinte equipos que disputan un torneo, todos contra todos, a dos ruedas (local y visitante). Otorga un ascenso directo a Primera B y otro posible ascenso por medio de la promoción que se realiza con el penúltimo en los promedios de dicha categoría. También hay un descenso directo (por promedios de las últimas tres temporadas) a la Primera D y un posible descenso debido a la promoción.
