INFORMACIÓN

La SPL,Scottish Premier League, en español Liga premier de escocia es la liga más importante en Escocia. El auspiciador de la liga es el Clydesdale Bank. Un total de 18 equipos han participado en la actual SPL que se inauguro en la temporada 1998-1999, sucediendo a la antigua Primera Division.La temporada escocesa se compone de 38 jornadas.
El primer clasificado jugará la Champions directamente el 2º con previa,3º y 4º jugarán la UEFA por designación por el organismo europeo presisido por Michelle Platini a partir de esta temporada,recuperando así dos posibles equipos en la máxima competición europea.
